Happy Wednesday!! It's the best time of the week! Scrapalicious USA Challenge Time!

Scrapalicious USA Anything but a Card Challenge

Hello all my crafty friends!! I am so sorry that it has been so long between posts. I have been super busy and some new and exciting things have been happening over at the Scrapalicious USA Blog!
The talented design team has stayed the same however it was decided that instead of a weekly challenge there would now be a monthly challenge! This gives all the lovely followers longer to make and submit their spectacular projects and it also gives the design team longer to view and comment on all the entries!

So for the month of August the theme is: Make anything other then a card
Now don't get me wrong, I LOVE making cards, but I had so much fun with this theme, it gave me a chance to come out of the "Card" mind-set and move outside the box!
So here is my project: ENJOY
This mini book is for photos of my nephew who just turned 1 yr old last month. I wanted to have some of my favorite photos of him for his 1st year here on earth!!

I can't wait to add photos and journaling

Here are links to the FANTASTIC Products I used from Scrapalicious USA Online Store
Imaginisce I-Rock Tool (to set the awesome rhinestones on my book)
Imaginisce I-Rock Glam Rocks-Rhinestones

By using the Chipboard Album it gave me a GREAT base to start my book. It also made it so quick and easy. Just add paper, and your own embellishments and that is all there is to it. I really loved making it! I hope you all enjoyed!

Be sure to submit your entries over at the Scrapalicious USA Blog and while you are there check out all the other FABULOUS Projects made by the design team!!

Sketch Challenge- Scrapalicious USA

What a wonderful week! I hope everyone is also having a terrific week!
Today is that special time again where I get to share with you my project for the Scrapalicious USA Weekly Challenge

This week's theme was open and based on a Sketch from Page Maps

This was very exciting for me because I have never used a sketch before to create a project! I thought it would be very limiting on my creativity but it was quite the opposite. It gave me a great starting point and the skies the limit- it was so much fun!
On to what I made:

I made this adorable card for my husband, who I adore so much and love to tell him every chance I get!

Here is what I used from the awesome Scrapalicious USA Store:
The adorable stamp is a Stampavie Stamp called Mr. Fix it
I colored him with Copic Sketch Markers
The 2 diecuts are from Spellbinders- Sprightly Sprockets
I also used some yellow bling from Doodlebug Designs-Strawberry Parfait setScrapbook
Lastly I added dimension with adhesive- 3D Foam squares

The paper was all used out of my own stash and I used Momento ink in Tuxedo Black and Peeled Paint distress ink to add some color to the edges of my card!

I hope you have enjoyed this week's project and I can't wait for you to join in on the challenge!!!
Just go to the Scrapalicious USA Blog to see the Challenge rules and don't forget to become a follower! You could be this week's big WINNER!!!
Good luck and Happy Crafting!
HUGS!
